Lighthouse Projects BV celebrates its fifth anniversary on 19 June 2024!

On June 19, 2024, Lighthouse Projects celebrated its 5th anniversary—how time flies! We don’t reflect on it nearly enough, but looking back over these past years, we have accomplished, experienced, and learned so much.

On June 19, 2019, we, Alex and Erik, officially decided to join forces under the motto: “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.” This resulted in the creation of Lighthouse Projects BV. Business expansion quickly followed, and today we have grown into a dedicated and flexible team of around 15 employees with expertise in wind energy, solar energy, and energy transmission and storage. We bring extensive knowledge and experience in all project phases—from advisory services in development, project preparation, contracting, and financing to construction supervision and delivery, both nationally and now also internationally. Let’s not forget that for the past 1.5 years, we have also been providing technical advice, inspections, and quality controls through our partnership with Bastiaan van de Braak via Lighthouse Energy Support BV.

This drive to “go far” has resulted in us having supported more than 700 MW (over 200 wind turbines!) of renewable energy projects across various project phases in the past five years. In addition to wind and solar energy, energy storage (e.g., batteries) and the smart and efficient use of grid connections (for example, through energy hubs, GDS, or cable pooling) have now also become an integral part of our work.

We would like to sincerely thank all our clients, advisors, flexible contributors, and of course, our own Lighthouse team for their collaboration and trust over the past five years.

Together, we have come a long way, but there is still a major task ahead for all of us to go even further. We are ready and well-prepared to continue and expand our current collaborations and growth in the next five years!
