Battery storage Vlissingen: Pollux en Castor

The large-scale energy storage projects called Pollux and Castor involve the construction of twin battery systems of 30 MW each in Vlissingen. SemperPower BV will soon develop, finance and operate the largest battery(s) in the Netherlands! The first 30 MW/63 MWh battery system will be used for a long time to, among other things, overcome the volatility of sustainable energy portfolios. When commissioned in September 2023, this battery system will be the largest battery project in the Netherlands and one of the largest in North-West Europe.

 Lighthouse Projects & Energy Support are involved in this project for Construction Management; the site and quality management Civil and Electrical and the HSE management.
